13 - 1.75 lb potatoes, peeled and chopped
14 - ¼ cup milk
15 - 3 tbsp butter
16 - 1 cup grated cheddar cheese

# How-To Steps:
01 - Set oven temperature to 400°F.
02 - Boil potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and return to pot.
03 - Mash potatoes with milk, butter, half the cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
04 - Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and carrots; cook for 5 minutes until softened.
05 - Add garlic and cook for 1 minute. Add ground beef, breaking up with a spoon, and cook until browned, about 6 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
06 - Stir in tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1 minute.
