# Required Ingredients:

01 - 12.3 oz fusilli pasta

02 - 5.3 oz smoked bacon, diced

03 - 1 large yellow onion, thinly sliced
04 - 8.8 oz cremini or button mushrooms, sliced
05 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
06 - 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

07 - 1.8 oz Parmesan cheese, grated
08 - 2 tbsp unsalted butter

→ Pantry

09 - 2 tbsp olive oil
10 - Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

# How-To Steps:

01 - Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook fusilli according to package directions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
02 - Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced bacon and cook until crisp, about 4 to 5 minutes. Remove bacon with a slotted spoon and set aside, leaving the fat in the pan.
03 - Add sliced onions to the skillet and sauté for 3 to 4 minutes until softened. Add mushrooms and cook for another 5 to 6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden and tender.
04 - Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
05 - Return cooked bacon to the skillet. Add drained fusilli, butter, and half of the Parmesan cheese. Toss gently, adding reserved pasta water as needed to create a silky sauce.
06 - Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Stir in chopped parsley.
07 - Serve immediately, garnished with extra Parmesan cheese and parsley if desired.
